Coaching

July 21, 2016 - Scott Hunter shares with us what he has learned over 30 years working in and observing organizations of every type and size. He has identified a theme all the successful ones share. “They have enthusiastic, confident, optimistic, appreciative and happy people who work together on behalf of a future they have all committed themselves to. However, in most organizations these components of a “successful organization” simply do not exist” says Scott. He discusses not only the reason for this but also the solutions.

Check out Scott Hunter's latest radio interview as he talks with Bill Black about the Mindset of Success and how to make things better at work. Scott talks about the necessity for teams to "work together on behalf of a future they have all committed themselves to."

Check out another of Scott's radio interviews as he speaks to Bob & Stacey during their leaders and legends series on the Money Matters radio station. Scott describes his background and the process he went through to leave a successful career as an intellectual property attorney and become a business coach, author and professional speaker and develop the Unshackled Leadership philosophy. You'll especially enjoy the part about how to deal with unsupportive people who try to squash your hopes and dreams.

After working with hundreds of companies and hundreds of thousands of individuals, it is clear to us that what people in organizations want, more than anything else, is to work in an organization where:

  • Their daily activities inspire, challenge, and motivate them.
  • They can experience and express their creativity.
  • Management supports their commitments.
  • They realize their full potential
  • Experience a sense of accomplishment.
  • Achieve personal satisfaction.
  • Attain their goals and ambitions and
  • Receive recognition and rewards for their contributions

It is also our findings that what people who run organizations want, more than anything else, is to create an organization where:

  • Their staff gets along amazingly well with each other and work with each other with a high degree of cooperation and teamwork.
  • People come to work and give it all they have without being prodded or manipulated to do so.
  • The organization grows steadily, predictably and with a high level of profitability.
  • Breakdowns are dealt with quickly and effectively and do not hinder or stop the organization's mission.

Studies show a large percentage of amazing individuals, both staff members and leaders, find themselves going through the motions at work, settling for less than they deserve and desire, not even realizing that it can be extraordinarily different. If they do realize it can be different, they have no idea how to have it be different.
