Being Successful is Simple, Just Not Easy

The creation of the 2013: Roadmap to Success Coaching Program has to be one of the most exciting things I have ever done. To appreciate why this is the case, you have to understand a bit about my journey. It started in 1977, some 36 years ago, when I was forced to come face to face with the reality that I knew nothing about being successful, for I surely was not being so. I also knew nothing about being happy, making money, having great relationships or even being peaceful. Quite frankly, my life was a mess.

So the journey of discovery began. It resulted in my retiring from my chosen career as an intellectual property attorney and starting an entirely new career as a business coach. In hindsight, the real motivation for that was so that I could continue to study the principles of success full time and simultaneously make a living teaching what I was learning to others.

For the many years that have passed, I have continued to gain knowledge and insights into how life works and we at The Hunter Partnership Alliance have used that knowledge and those insights to develop programs that have greatly benefited our many clients and the people in our client companies. Most of that information is contained in my latest book, Unshackled Leadership, Building Businesses Based on Faith, Trust, Possibility and Abundance. If you don’t yet have a copy, you can get yours at http://www.unshackledleadership.com/online-store/

Up until somewhat recently, the keys to happiness and success seemed to require the understanding and implementation of a fairly large number of principles, all of which were interrelated, so that success depended on effectively working all of them, all of the time. Even one of my favorite authors, Jack Canfield, co-author of the famous Chicken Soup for the Soul books, describes in his latest book, The Success Principles, 64 different principles to transform yourself to be successful in all areas of your life.

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s a great book. But with all due respect for Jack, who has transformed the lives of countless thousands, do you really want to have to learn 64 principles? I think not. And as last year unfolded, I began to realize that the game of life is really incredibly simple. All of these separate ideas really boil down to a handful of fundamental principles that you could literally write down on a single piece of paper, and not use the entire sheet. If that was true, would that be great or great?

Well I’m convinced it is true. To be successful in life and business is really a simple game. The rules are clear and straight forward. Only one problem: It’s really really difficult to play the game well. The realities of life clearly indicate that maybe 3 – 5% of the population know how to play the game at its highest levels; which is why we keep hearing that the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer, as if there’s something wrong or bad about that. Whether you think that or not, it is a reality of life.

Which brings me back to why I’m so excited about the 2013: Roadmap to Success Coaching Program. In this program I will share the very simple rules of the game of life, how to apply these rules to business, what the challenges are in playing the game really well, and what you can do to become one of the 3 – 5%. I’m committed that those who participate in the program will indeed start living the lives of their dreams.

I invite you to join me tomorrow, February 20th at 8 pm eastern/5 pm pacific for a free teleseminar where we kick off the program for the year. You can register for the teleseminar on this website at http://www.unshackledleadership.com/free-teleclass-success/ See you on the call.
